SRAM red / Shimano ultegra compatibility?

Can I put a SRAM red chain set on the same bike as Shimano ultegra shifters/gears?

    Yes, problems only arise if you start swapping shifters and mechs between brands. Also the latest Shimano shifters have a different brake cable pull ratio which isn't optimised for SRAM brakes.
    Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..
