I’m planning a trip to Coed Llandegla with a few mates and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for good places to stay?

Looking for somewhere near to the trails if possible & cheap and cheerful! We’ve ruled out camping at this time of year for obvious reasons…

Let me know if you know anywhere – cheers.

not much, nearby AFAIK. theres a youth hostell and a number of B&Bs in llangollen you can head the back way and park at the top of the horsehoe pass or the road between worlds end and new brighton and access the forest from there if you take a map

or ride in from llan, linkined up with a lap of CL would make for a good long day you would definetaly need a map for this but PM me and i can suggest a route.

there's a few premier inn's in wrexham. about a 20 mins drive away
  • cheers for the posts lads - will have a look for a B&B - would rather avoid the Prem Inn tho...
  • If you had a caravan the trout fishery opposite the entrance has opened a 5 van site, very good very close, not raving expensive, owner says he is going to set up a camping field this year, should be a little gold mine for him. 8) 8)
