Hi all,
Just wondering, is this ( http://superstar.tibolts.co.uk/product_ ... cts_id=371 ) the correct tool for removing the crankset ( http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... elID=46025 ) off my bike?
Many thanks,
Jack

to remove the cranks no.
you need a crank puller for a squaretaper crank..
to remove the bb (bottom bracket) may be depending what type of bb it is..www.bearbackbiking.com

Yep, that crank puller will remove the cranks from the BB, and the original tool you posted should remove the BB, it looks like the correct size to fit the splines of the BB. Make sure you have the correct tools to turn the remover though!Very funny Scotty, now beam me down my clothes.0

I bought the halfords one 2 weeks ago and it broke at the weld on the first use. Disappointing really as I've always been happy with their 'professional' range of mechanics tools.
Anyway I have since bought this tool and it feels much better than the Halfords tool. I used it today and it was great, the extandable handle is a plus too,
