Anybody know where i can buy lever hoods for Shimano 105 5700 STi levers. I want to change the colour instead of standard black ones which came on the bike.

Google searches only seem to suggest ebay overseas sellers? Anybody here in the UK selll them? I'm guessing I cant use other series of hoods e.g 5600 or other specs like Tiagra, Ultegra, Dura-ace etc.

SB, get yourself on Wiggle and buy some Hudz for your 105 5700 levers. They come in all manner of colours and two differant compounds...normal or soft.
Ive just ordered some white ones for my 6700 Ultegra, about £18.

  • But I've looked on Wiggle. There's non that say 105 compatible for 5700 levers.

E.g these are the Ultegra ones.

    http://www.wiggle.co.uk/hudz-shimano-ul ... sti-hoods/

    Says...."COMPATIBILITY: For use with 10-speed Shimano Ultegra 6600 & 6700, Ultegra SL, 105 series-5600, and R700 systems including 6600, 6601 and 6603 STI levers. Not compatible with 8 or 9-speed STI levers"

Im not sure if these will work?

This information on the WIGGLE site is wrong.
The Hudz for 6700 is not compatigble with previous Shimano sti versions (6600, 5600, r700).
Hudz have only recently released 6700 compatible hudz, and there website makes no mention of 5700 compatible hudz.
    http://www.grabthehudz.com/products_shi ... a6700.html

However I can confirm from previous experience with two bikes which had Ultegra 6600 and 105 5600 sti that the hudz for those versions were the same.
I guess therefore that the Hudz for 6700 sti will fit nicely on 5700. The levers do look the same. It's just the materials used for the mechanism that is different.

I would send Wiggle an email seeking clarification that the advertised version of the Hudz would fit 6700 sti. If it does I am pretty sure that you can use it for 5700 sti
  • Was the question of 6700/5700 compatibility ever resolved? I'm looking for green hoods for Shimano 105 ST-5700 but there's quite a price difference between Ultegra & 105 for some reason.
    Any update greatly appreciated!
