Hi, I'm looking for a second hand full suss frame or full build but I'm not really sure what to go for. I've been looking on eBay and the giant trance has caught my eye as has the scott nitrous trouble is there are not many comparisons out there. I do a fair bit of xc but want a setup that will perform well on single track, jumps and bumps and can climb like a monkey maybe I'm asking for too much my budget I'm aiming for is approx £500 if u have any advice I'd be really grateful. Thanks very much.

Plenty of choice out there, but I love my Cannondale Prophet. Should be able to get one at a good price, if there's any about0

Well preferably a full rig but I'm happy with just a frame for £500 I do realise its not a massive budget for a good full suss but there's deals to be had somewhere! I missed out on a mint giant trance by £20 it went for £196 because the owner advertised it as a giant TRACE!!!! anyway I want to get the best for my money if there's something worth stretching for I can save up a bit longer if need be but I want to ride NOW! Pissing bloody mortgage cripples my love for bikes!!!!!!0

I got my Giant Reign frame of ebay for £400 with shock, you need an idea of what you will be doing with the frame, xc,dh? then narrow your search.0

Good frame, but £315 is a bit on the high side imo.0 -
Trek Fuel Ex/ Remedy
Giant Anthem/Trance/Reign
Specialized Stumpjumper FSR
Boardman FS
And many, many more, I;m sure.
Something with 120-140mm suspension is probabyl what you're after.
The Scott Nitrous and Giant Trance are two very different bikes.0 -
Thanks for the advice/help I'll narrow it down and try again. I know the giant trance from what I've read is what would suit my style of riding the best but then there was this polished up scott nitrous on eBay which really I know it's not right but it looks awesome! My friend has a spesh epic which is pretty cool but I can't afford one!!!! :-(0

Also what are your opinions of a decent 120-140mm fork???0

I had 2006 Giant Trance frame with a 140mm Revelation on, great bike did everthing I chucked at it.
Sold my frame for £250 with a new candy blue recoat.0 -
Dunno how tall you are or if this is any good but for the money a steal.

Superb AM frame, sell the bits you don't want.0 -
I second Supersonic's recommendation. I have a heavily upgraded Teocali Elite and I keep meaning to change to a new frame, but can never quite justify the expenditure when the Teocali does its job so well.0
