It's possibly the worst day of the week again. I overslept by an hour and was lucky to wake up!
Today should be ok, though it just occurred to me that I wanted to get in early. Oops :?

Better get going.

    Mornin' ****s

Was woken up an hour before necessary by a pain in my neck - felt nothing like that since I broke it. Not the best start to the day. Riding into work proved to be a big mistake as well - hopefully it'll ease before going home.

Work m'eh will largley consist of meetings and running 'round sorting out about a dozen other tasks. And coffee. I feel coffee should feature - copiously!

....and maybe a a couple of brufen.....

    Onwards (steadily)!

Yeah, the Mk1's were the most fun. Mk4's were grossly overated.
Skodas are far better value for money.

  • Morning all,

Only up 2 minutes, and can already tell all motivation has been drained from me with this headache, luckily not much is in order today, so will be fairly relaxed.

As far as golf tips go, mine is as follows:
    Don't even bother.

    Morning ham fisted infidels,

Booked two holidays last night, my first now for nearly 3 years where I'll be away long enough to turn the phone off and actually have some time to relax. Plus for one of them I get to take the bike, and we won't have the terrierist so I can spend the usual hour evey morning exercising my legs rather than watching a gurning terrier taking a dump in the middle of the road.

Apart from that today is looking to be pretty meh free, need to sell some wheels though. I've run out of room. Looks like it will have to be ebay. Also need to phone up about an interview, job is only 15 miles from home with less responsibility and a bit less money but we won't need two cars and my petrol bill will plummet.

    Mornin',

Bike ride later this morning, then finally I'm going to take down all the Christmas decorations and take the tree to the dump - looks a bit odd still stuck in the corner of the living room a week into January. But for now, coffee...

    'Ning

Knackered this morning after a busy weekend involving MrF, snowboarding, drinking cider, horse riding, walking round town for a couple of hours, roast dinner and collapsing to watch Sherlock.
Work as usual today, gotta try not to procrastinate like I did for much of last week..
Later I'll be trying to do some study and work out how to catch up and do at least 12 hours a week, when I only have 1 night spare a week...any tips??

    Kisses

  • Morning Homos, happy 1st of the week!

Last day at work today, and despite knowing about it since before christmas, I have no doubt that today will be the day when everyone in the business decides they need their analysis doing before I leave. They will be told to fuckoff.

    Splendid.

  • Mediocre Monday Mutterings Maggots!

Needless to say at home today, not overly motivated, but I'm sure the day will pass by soon enough.
Got a few things to keep me occupied work wise, but I am sure things will pick up now that this is the first "real" week of work.

Wishing you all an unproductive and laid back Monday :¬)

    Morning all,

Healthy eating and exercise is paying off, lost 4lb 6oz since Tuesday morning and I am feeling awesome for the detox! More riding this week, weights and running then next week is commuting to work everyday on the bike.

Today is not as meh as I thought it was going to be!

New indicator/light control cluster for the battlewagon is £130 with trade discount. Plus another £30 to fit.

    Definitely skint now!

  • I'm in a different timezone / planet. Just back from the Jhonghli night market. The foodstalls are indescribable and they smell like the worst thing in the world that rotted last month. The clothes stalls are manned by girls wearing indescribably short skirts, the contents of which are not up for sale regrettably.

Golf advice should, by definition, come from VW Scurf Bum. But I'd go for the Tdi.

Tomorrow I'm going somewhere in South Taiwan on the high speed train. I get the feeling I'm unwanted up here in North Taiwan and when I translated one of the smilingly offered words of welcome it read - '...hope the effing train crashes,.'

Also booked in for a dental appt with the fit receptionist and Glasgow trained Dr Chen who repaired my arrs gravel rash incurred last week.

Why do dentists all call themseles Dr now? We need to have a Holby City of dentists where we can learn more of the profession.

  • Just had a great beginning to the afternoon
My son took his MacBook and Android tablet to my folks, he connected to via HSPDA and set up a wireless tether between his Galaxy Tablet and MacBook, so I had a FaceTime conversation with the folks who I haven't seen for a long, long time. Got to admire my offspring sometimes.

Best part was, my cat jumped on my lap while we were talking and my folks' Yorkie was on my dad's lap. The dog started growling at the laptop screen when she saw Milo (my cat) :)

Well, as trivial as this may seem, it meant a lot to me and I thought I'd share the moment..

Forgot I was going for a curry at lunch today...now feeling rather sleepy.
Have had a procrastination filled morning while I did research on something MrF and I drunkenly discussed on Saturday night... information gathered, now to have a sober conversation about it!

The MOD have introduced new gas masks into the world of the military, today was my chance to get trained on it, face has been stuck in a rubber smelling tight fitting face welly, which would be ok if i was with sheeps mum! I then had to take it off in a CS gas filled chamber which certainly clears the nasal passages out!

And you lot think you had a sh#t start to the week, on the up side aunty betty is sending me stateside friday for two weeks 'cough' WORK ''cough'

  • I'm hoping I get my wheel by noon tomorrow, so I can finally go ride with my new bike, make sure I didn't make any bad mistakes, and finally get out on wheels.

I never pay good money for anything, I just force that kind of situation on someone unsuspectingly and withouth them knowing, little does CWNT know, but at BR live, when he wasnt looking I had a good lick of Mrs CWNT's cake tin.

Anyway, I survived my first day of new job, despte the trainer repeatedly using catchphrases from Miranda and telling us the finance director is Mike Phillips' brother. I am enjoying Cardiff so far, I feel really at home here. Its nice to have a week of not driving trains, or touching trains or anything like that, spied the little dirt jumps at Maindy Leisure centre so might have to have a go on them when I cycle home (when my bikes make it up here)
