PM from Outbox to 'Sent'

When I send a message it seems to sit in 'outbox' as opposed to 'sent'
The inbox and sent items are well below the limit%
When does the message move from 'outbox' to 'sent' ?

As a guess, when its been read?

IIRC it's based on the next time the recipient/s log in. It should then move automatically to your sent box
