Hi guys :)

Newbie here, really need some advice because I dont know what I am doing

Right, I have a 2011 Cube Analog Disc and I have taken the forks off and I am going to run rigid carbon ones.

I am all sorted with getting the steerer cut and all the bits and bobs which I am going to need, but where I am stuck now is on the Headset.

I definately want to replace my headset but I dont know which type I need to buy and what will fit etc.

I think my bike had this on :

And I would really like to put this on my bike :

But I dont know if it will be a direct replacement and fit ?

I dont know if this picture will help?

If someone in the know can tell me what I need to be looking for and if there are any cardinal rules I need to follow when buying a headset that would really help me out because until I buy a suitable headset my bike remains in bits on the living room floor

Many thanks in advance :D

    Just change the crownrace over?

Save your money for better gears and wheels.

    Hi Chunkers1980

I have taken the crown race off ready to put on the new forks steerer but I dont like all the loose ball bearings in the headset on the bike and I would prefer a sealed bearing and something a bit nicer 8)

Yes they are the same type.

Have a read of Parktools for what tools you need to change them over.
