Hello All!

I know some of you are not Orange fans (!) but anyway here's my pride and joy, a 2011 Orange G3. Bought in September 2011 for a steal after much consideration and not looked back since. (Mind you, previous bike was a Carrera Vulcan Ltd!)

Managed this today, new hanger £15, hoping the mech is intact:

Nice, remember first seeing a picture of one of these on the orange website, thought it was fuck ugly, then saw one in the flesh at Cannock and it looked quite nice albeit with silver toras and a brown saddle. Yours looks really nice, get a nice discount on it? At full RRP they're a bit overpriced maybe considering the spec but they're decent bikes, love mine.

Got it for £700 (through a friend, brand new...) Agree they are a bit pricey at full RRP (aren't all Oranges?!) but couldn't find anything better at that price at the time. Going to try upping the forks to 120mm and a layback post, hopefully it'll enjoy going down as much as I do then!

    New bits:
    Bars: Sunline V1 OS, 711mm
Stem: RaceFace Deus SL, 70mm OS Clamp
Tires: Special Studded Winter Mountain Kings 2.2"/Panaracer Fire XC Pro 2.1"
Forks: Still RS Recon Gold R, travel increased to 120mm

Overall Spend to date: Around £850, including many inner tubes.

Super happy with it in this Spec, fork has slackened it off nicely, combined with bar and stem feels very stable, but still changes direction quickly. No way as near as twitchy as stock.
