Well, I've bit the bullet on an Ellsworth Specialist to be built up as a more hardcore trail riding machine. I'm 5ft6 and my main bike previously has been a Pashley 26Mhz so I think the size should be fine (and more so what I'm used to).
Now is the time for components.
Can anyone help in suggesting anything? I'm thinking along the lines of a 140mm fork.

No, please dont! If you're talking about the old Ellsworth Specialist from around the early 2000's, then I wouldnt use any more than 100mm of travel on it. 140mm will ruin it.

Depends what your budget is, but coil Rock Shox pikes can be had fairly cheap these days, an ideal fork.

its a 2009 model. I believe to be one of the latest before they were discontinued.
Is it just the early models that were designed to be run with a 100mm (or so) fork, as everything I'm reading is leading towards a 120-140mm fork for the latest revisions.
