    Morning bum lovers!
TFI Friday! Cannot wait for the work day to end, though I had a Eureka! moment yesterday, which will hopefully make my job a little easier (Shame I didn't think of it 6 months ago! )

Off out for a friends birthday tonight. Should be messy.

  • Morning all,

Just got a call from someone offering me stupid money for my road bike, which is about 600 more than I paid for it (buddy discount), and are coming to pick it up in a few hours. Looks like once the holiday is over today i'll be going soon to buy my new forks, new wheelset among various other parts :) Super stoked.

On that note, the wifes cousin is coming over today, so it is a day of japanese food from a local buffet, and chillen. Drank way too much "Duff Bier" (yes the simpsons one) as they were on offer last night at a local super market, so will be trying to relax most of the day.

Day of work m'eh sandwiched between a fry-up and a friends b/day at high-end curry house. Could be worse!

Think I may head Cannock-wards tomorrow to see what state the recent weather has left Monkey in. It'll be the last big blast for January, but as I'm off to Canada for the last half of the month I'm thinking I've not got a lot to complain about.

Thank fark it's Friday, been a weird week.
Porridge has been consumed, work to be done.
Later MrF is coming over, so I will be cooking him either a curry or fajita's, can't decide at the moment... Unfortunately I seem to have come down with some form of lurgy so am now dosing up on remedies.

    Morning bumders

The little brother has taken the car and his heading to Stile Cop for a day of DH. While it's hardly the most difficult or technical place to go, he's hardly ever ridden a bike properly before, never done any little drops or had any air time, on top of that he's using a cube acid with the worlds weakest brakes ever and forks made of cheese strings. I've even offered him the 456 and to borrow my FF and pads but no, his words were "it can't be that hard"... I remember the last time he rode a bike...

So my day will consist of working this morning... or watching Blackadder (I've already watched every single My Family episode to avoid working this week) and going out on the roadie later.

Then tomorrow I'm off to Cannock :D

Other job today is to plan tomorrow. The wife's taking the little ones into London, so I think I'll have breakfast, take the dog for a walk and then shove the bike in the car and head off somewhere different.

Alright for some - went to Whistler a few years ago and it was brilliant.

I'm off to London Bridge for some lunchtime food 'n' beer with a couple mates (probably won't be a session as they're working today). Hopefully one of them can put it on expenses :-) Then headed to the West end to spend some of the vouchers I got as Christmas pressies. So not a bad day ahead.

hopefully fitting all my new bits and trying them out tomorrow but that's dependant on how mullered I feel with this cold. I can't remember the last time I had to have time off work for a cold, so embarassing.

However, all my insecurities about whether or not it was extravagent to pay for ODI troy lees to go with the new bars and stem were blown away yesterday when said grips arrived. They're well posh and I'm well stoked.

Yea, interesting day yesterday when the mobile's SIM decided to fail! Went to O2 shop and they sorted it pronto!
Also popped to Fones4U and bought a cheapo Huawei Android handset with no contract (Pas as you go) to cover me if this ever happens again.
Not much on the cards today, but off to London tomorrow to meet up with my son's stepsister so she can lug his Christmas present back to the old country on my behalf. Going by train... so should be interesting..
  • I'm headed for a 12 hour session in Economy Class - EVA Air, bog seat as bloody usual.

    Wow, that's quite pissed.

Afternoon. Last week day of not working toady :( Didn't get up until 11, went out for a ride, regretted smoking over Xmas/New Year, loving the Edge for motivation though, bit scared by my heart rate on anything remotely vertical and upwards but meh, bacon will cure that no doubt.

Trying to become a less stereotypical fat spesh rider though the only bit of spesh gear I own is the bike. Still counts though doesn't it? :(
Off to watch season 5 of the Wire for the rest of the day while the hag cooks pig steaks for dinner. Noms.
