Please could someone advise which tool to use to remove a Shimano HG-73 chain for cleaning purposes.

Bought this to carry around and it ended up replacing the big one in my toolbox as well.
Nice fine thread so it's easy to break the chain. You can also get replacement pins if you bend one - I haven't managed it.

Best thing to do is get some Sram Power links so you can get the chain on and off easily, and save the tool for when you have a disaster on trail.I don't do smileys.

Type of chain, like Shimano or Sram. I think they are better and come with a masterlink, as do Sram.I don't do smileys.
