I've been watching lots of telly over last few days as i have the damned man flu. Anyway, happen to be watching 'celebrity' Mastermind which has the quite gorgeous Rachel Riley off Countdown on it. Wow...never realised how amazingly yummy she is! Apart from being impossibly beautiful, she is obviously very intelligent. She comes over as very charming & lovely & certainly has a sparkle in her eye. ;-) Also, her specialist subject was Manchester United since 1999, which she did excellently in. Why can't more girls be like this?

Knowing the history of a football club for 12yrs is a sign of intelligence? :|
  • Err...no. Being a graduate from Oxford in mathematics does though.

She is lovely, no doubt about it.

Have seen her on a couple of comedy quiz show things (what's the one with Jimmy Carr?) and she brings a tear to my eye, she is that nice, IMO of course.

Out of 10? One. I would though but.

She was superb on the C4 Mashup of 8/10 Cats + Countdown, where Sean Lock asked for an exclamation mark.

She was also in fine fettle on Celeb Mastermind tonight. What's that word? Cor!!

I knew there had to be something wrong with her. Sorry love, I don't do football.

Although. That would be 2 hours on a Saturday afternoon I could go out on my bike unimpeded. Might give her a call back.

Had to Google her - not bad but needs to fill out a bit more to replace Vorderman properly. The wardrobe department seem to like sticking her in short dresses though!
  • A friend of friend has been stalking her on and off and apparently she's often out on her bike, I think she lives in Essex, Southend if I remember right

I must admit that sdhe did grab Yossie's attention at first but then I realised she was all out proportion - a bit like a numbers wizard Raggy Doll. Something just not quite right .......

(Adopt "bloke down the pub voice") Now that Amanda Davies, the sports presenter burd, she can read the Giro results to me anytime. Shame she is also a Moan Utd fan, but you can't have everything I suppose.......

Well you could, all it needs is a pale blue shirt and she would be just about perfect.
Odd,I`d never seen her before Sleb Mastermind but,my god, she is good looking.

She does indeed live in Southend (apparantly she was friends with my wife's niece at school!) I can't say that I've seen her cycling around Southend, but should I bump into her I'll take a pic....for 'The Girls In Lycra Shorts' thread. :D

Physical contact might not be neccessary but good luck with that.

That must be the most patently ridiculous statement I have ever read, ever.

That must be patently the most over dramatic post I've ever read ……..

No - seriously: its when she first started doing Countdown and was trying to be the new fit burd taking over from Carol: she went through a phase of wearing those horrible platform heels that were ridiculously high and she couldn't walk in them properly, giving her a mild hunchback scenario (I think there was actually something in the daily rags at the time saying that the producers had said something along the lines of "yup, you're fit, but come on, wear something that you can walk/stand up in and doesn't give you a hunchie".

Do a Google - it'll come up in the Daily Fascist or something.

She may have addressed the posture position since then, but Amanda still wins the "blonde bobbed Moan U knowing presenter " prize until I'm proven wrong.

Sorry if I offend your patently ridiculous scale of postings on a patently ridiculous topic, but, hey, I've done worse in my life.........

EDIT: I've just done a Google and yup, loads of posture comments on there, so I'm not the only one with patently ridulous comments to make. Sorry Mr Salmon.

Now, Amanda, tell me about this year's Giro …...

Always had a bit of a thing for Susie Dent. I think she is the only person in the world who doesn't age. And the way she flicks through her dictionary....grrrr.
