Apart from his homophobia, sexism, warmongering, climate change denial, belief in creationism, and likening of liberalism to paedophilia, he seems like an alright kind of fella.

He's anti abortion, in any situation, even though his wife was saved from death (so the story goes) by precisely that.0

Haha, I thought the exact same thing. The phrase "he doth protest too much" springs to mind.0 -
The man's a nutter !!!
God help us if he gets in the driving seat !!!Science adjusts it’s beliefs based on what’s observed.
Faith is the denial of observation so that Belief can be preserved0 -
He is certifiable. It's best not to watch this election year in America. Not gonna be pretty.0

I occasionally wonder why evangelical christians don't follow Leviticus and call for the return of the death penalty for witches, since both witchcraft and homosexuality call for it in the Old Testament. Strange, that.

Our presidential candidates must be quite amusing to the rest of the world. If I wasn't crying myself to sleep every night thinking of the possibility that one of these arseclowns gets elected I would be laughing as well. Mrs. Thatcher seemed left wing next to this bunch.0

He's freakin' mental that man is. Please say that there is no way he can get elected? Pleeease?0

The number of people who voted for him is a bit of a worry, but I wonder if even the powers that be in Tehran are watching CNN and thinking, "WTF? This guy's a mentalist!"
This will be a fun campaign to watch.
OT, Mitt Romney's wife's dad and granddad were Welsh, apparently.FCN 2-4.
"What happens when the hammer goes down, kids?"
"It stays down, Daddy."
"Exactly."0 -
Type 'santorum' into Google or Bing and see what the top result is. His competitors seem to have setup a website to muddy his name.Summer - Canyon Ultimate CF SLX 9.0 Team
Winter - Trek Madone 3.5 2012 with UDi2 upgrade.
For getting dirty - Moda Canon0 -
He is insane. End of.The problem is we are not eating food anymore, we are eating food-like products.0

you have to wonder whether he can really believe some of the stuff he says!FCN 120

He actually believes it should be illegal to have sex outside marriage. And then he gets crazier.0

There has to be an appropriate anagram of his name.
I see the word anus but then get a mental block for some reason.Tail end Charlie

Remember the reason for the Galactic President in Hitchhiker's Guide folks!
"a role that involves no power whatsoever, and merely requires the incumbent to attract attention so no one wonders who's really in charge"Remember that you are an Englishman and thus have won first prize in the lottery of life.0 -
I think a better reference from Hitch Hiker's Guide would be this:To summarize: it is a well known fact that those people who most want to rule people are, ipso facto, those least suited to do it. To summarize the summary: anyone who is capable of getting themselves made President should on no account be allowed to do the job. To summarize the summary of the summary: people are a problem.
The Book (Peter Jones) speaking, if I remember correctly.0 -

To even stand a chance in US politics there are a number of things you have to claim to believe/reject:
1) Evolution - either reject it, imply that it's on equal grounds with intelligent deign, believe it's controlled by god or that it's 'microevolution' only.
2) climate change - reject it
3) religion - have to be Christian and generally reject the idea of separation of church and state
4) abortion - be against it
6) gays - be against same sex marriage
7) socialist healthcare - reject it and misrepresent countries that have a better healthcare system then their own (a lot!!!)
8 ) Stem cell - only allow state funding for adult stem cells
America is f*cked! I swear half of them don't believe what they say, they just have to say it due to the stupidity of a large proportion of the US population. I'm glad I don't live there!!0 -

This does describe the Republican agenda. Most Americans describe themselves as independent, with Democrats second most common, and Republicans last. So thankfully the group who believes the above is a distinct minority. Loud, but a minority.0 -

Nah, that describes the Democrat agenda - the Republican's are far more right wing than that0 -
Hahaha. You may have a point.0
