Hi,

Anyone know where to buy the above from? Saw them reviewed on here while back but can't see them listed on all the regular sites ie wiggle, ribble. LBS said January but can't wait that long and race blades don't fit my Canyon Alu.

Any ideas?

cheers
Dave

    TriUK:

Seem to be in stock but also seem to be £5-10 more expensive than other shops who are currently out of stock.

    Hope this helps.

I ordered a pair from FatBirds about a month ago after their online system showed they were in stock...then I got an email saying that, actually, they were out of stock...still waiting for my order...

I emailed sks before christmas and they said they wouldn't be on sale in the Uk until late Jan early Feb, which seemed ludicrously late for a German company. I'm assuming that nowhere actually has them yet. Bought some standard length ones for now and I don't see the point in splashing out the extra.
Especially seeing as Gizmodo's full guards on his Madone don't stop me getting a face full of puddle when I ride behind him, you'd still need a flap. And you don't get much more coverage for your gears as the normal ones and still less than cruds.

    Maybe next time.

I'm running race blades on my Canyon AL.

Had no fitting problems at all.

    Running these:

@ Bobbinogs; have they taken the money for them? I only ask because that's what happened when I thought I'd bought a Brooks saddle from them. When I chased them they admitted they had no stock and couldn't say when they would have. So I lent them £70 for 3 weeks and bought it from Wiggle who despatched the same day

Ah yeah, I meant the crud road racers, not the race blades.

Hi Keef66, yepp they did take the money (and for a Veloce cassette) but, to be fair to them, they did proactively point out the error within a day or so and offered a complete refund if I couldn't wait until the 17th Jan (a date which I then agreed to). There has been some nonsense in that the date then came forward, moved out and is now the 17th again but the upshot is that I actually think their comms has been very good and I would shop with them again.

Fatbirds are expecting a big order on the 17th and it looks like they are not the only shop waiting...

Couldn't wait until the long race blades came out so went up to Ribble and purchased the Cycraguards.

Guess what, they don't fit either...

I should have known, shame, they're a really nice design. More substantial than the crud road racers by a long way and look like they'd give full coverage. Didn't bother getting the fixings out of the bag as it was clear that this time they would rub on the sides of the tyres near the brakes.

So I now have a set of very nearly new, never fitted mud guards if anyone wants them, make me an offer, pretty awkward to post but could arrange something if needs be.
