Not sure whether I can do that - same as Gaz, Saturdays are quite tricky for me due to parental duties - Sundays better (weekdays best but doubt there'd be takers for that)."I spent most of my money on birds, booze and fast cars: the rest of it I just squandered." [George Best]0 -

I've put it down as a maybe as I should be around but it is near 1/2 term so may be away with family.
Never ridden there as not seen the point as I've the Peak District on my doorstep. But a Crudcatcher ride is a draw.I'm going to blow the bank on a new build ( within reason ) NOW DONE!!

i've put yes, as its my local!0

When i say local its still 30 miles from me but i ride there most often.
I know my way round the red route and can get round it in about 50 mins.
I normally do the red followed by the blue which works out about 17 miles.
I just don't really know where all the hidden singletrack is!0 -
i will ask some of the lads at the club there if they would lead as they know all the decent singletrack at the pines and up near Clumber park!Loving life in rural SW France

Should be able to do either days, I'm sure if I have work I can get the time off.
Any plans for something a little sooner? Though I wouldn't be organising anything, my skills in that department are much like my riding skills...0 -
any decision on day?
possible for either but would need to know as mrs maks will need to switch a shift0 -
-
Awesome, Sunday will be better for me too. I'd say I'm now up to 80% definite, sooner the time I'll know for sure, I may be able to give lifts too/from local stations if people need them, but like I say, sooner the time I'll know for sure.0

I've put myself down as a maybe, due to not knowing whether I'll be in Notts or York/Sheffield that weekend.
It is also my local, when I was spending time there over September I was doing a double loop of the red, took around 2 hours.
EDIT: Scratch that, I'm a muppet, I'm off to Morzine that weekend!0 -
Seems like most people live quite far away. I must only live about 10 miles away.0

Sherwood Pines after all the wet weather we've had....that'll be a no from me :?0 -
I was there on sunday and it was alright actually.
The trail was pretty dry and I didn't even really have to clean the bike after.0 -

You're saying no to an event almost 2 months away because of the recent wet weather???0 -

It's about 40 mins away and I avoid the place like the plague0 -

Dude, it really doesn't get a muddy as you'd think. There's only ever one part thats so muddy you have to walk though it. Besides, most of the circuit is quite sandy and dries out real quick anyway. But I suppose of you live 40 mins away then it is a bit of a trade off.0 -

I've been a loads of times over the years and I've never really rated it.I've got Wharney Woods 5 mins away if I want that sort of thing....and I haven't been in there for over a year :roll:0 -
Where do you actually ride just out of interest? You seem to hate Dalby, you don't like sherwood, you've got wharney but don't ride there... Infact, are you like the rest of us and just talk about riding bikes on here rather than actually doing it?0

I ride Wharney when it's not a bog....which isn't often I used to ride it more but just prefer the rocky stuff 8)0 -
I've just noticed this has been moved into here, I should still be up for it, Ooh Er.0

Please don't disappoint yourselves with a trip to the Pines. I live within a 20 minute pedal away and avoid it like the plague. Good for night rides, but incredibly boring. If you are driving north, swing west and try Llandegla if Afan and CYB are not on hit list!!!!!!0

Afan is on the rides list, as is CYB (I think) not sure Llandegla is but I can add it...0
