Bleed Syringe

Bleeding some shimano brakes and have most of the bits required already. Missing a suitable syringe however. I don't really want to splash out another £20+ on another bleed kit when all I need is a cheap plastic syringe.
Any ideas on where I can pick up just a cheap syringe (any shops I could actually go to)?????.... and not the pack of 50 that you can buy from medical supplies online - just the one is required.
Thanks

Search for syringe on ebay and take your pick from the plethora of results or just go to a chemist who should have them.0

I got some dirty looks from the people at my local chemists when I went in asking for the same. hope you get better luck. I ended up paying mega bucks for a Shimano branded one that was rubish.0

aquarium is you best bet as it will look like you have tropical fish and get no funny looks...www.bearbackbiking.com

I also got funny looks from the various chemists/pharmacies that I tried.
I funally had some luck by popping in to my local vets - and they gave me a couple of syringes for free.
Appropriate sized windscreen wiper tubing from Halfords and I was ready to go.(Can't remember which size - 4 or 5 mm - but you could take your caliper/hose/lever assembly off the bike fairly easily)
If you didn't learn anything today, you weren't paying attention!0 -
Aye, aquarium hose is another good easy to find option. I get my syringes off ebay just for convenience, it's only a couple of quid difference after all, but I've had them from the chemists a few times, I just tell them what it's for, no bother. They're too big for shooting drugs with after all, unless you're in Motley Crue or something.
(bit OT but the same applies for car and motorbike brakes, except you'll want an even bigger syringe- vets or horse supplies place is best for these)Uncompromising extremist0
