Cleaning White tape

Hi I cashed into a thobish today after it had rained on the road. I cut my hands and now my bar tape Is muddy and bloody. Does anyone know the most sufficient way to clean White
Handle bar tape.

    You could try any of the following:

    Cif
    Shaving foam (not gel)
    Window cleaner spray
    Vanish spray
    Any multi surface cleaner

    Or do what I eventually did...change to black bar tape.

    i've got white tape (fizik microtex) and hoods

    dilute washing up liquid is the best thing i've found, really does a good job
    my bike - faster than god's and twice as shiny

  • Strange one but I read somewhere a bit of GT85 on plain kitchen roll does the trick, only tried it once but worked for me

    ive found industrial wipes do a good job

    White spirits on a clean cloth, nothing else comes close

    Had to clean mine of sooty road deposits after being on roof bars along m-way, found damp hand squib of fairy liquid and a good scrub with hands, then dry off with clean towel worked perfect on mine :wink:

    thats +2 then... i have heard Rapha are to bring out 'bike wipes' - just the same but £12 a pack and in a nicer bag!

    get rid, white tape is a bugger to keep clean unless it is not cork. :D
