Hi all,
I'm not too up on what's what when it come to components! I'm looking to buy a good full suspension bike for around £1000, has any one
any thoughts on this one?

Decent bike from Ghost a German company...a good spec for the money..only issue though is it's 100mm travel which makes it racy...I would look at Cubes and Ghost with a 120mm travel which makes them great for XC and Trail riding.
This is a cracking deal and spec and worth every penny.

Both your first thought and Pudsey's appear to be over your budget. You will not be the first to spend more than you first thought but do try before you buy. There are some very helpful and knowledgeable folk on here but what suits them may not suit you. There is no substitute for getting your backside on one and riding it, there is a bewildering array of choices and a hefty chunk of cash at stake. Do bear in mind that you are likely to get hooked and spend a lot more later on. Bike number one is the start of the journey, which I am convinced ends with a monster carbon job north of £6,000.0
