Details:
BMC SLX 01 Frame, Fork & Seatpost (Size 61cm)
Veloce 10 speed Ergo's
Veloce Rear Mech
Record Front Mech
Veloce Skeleton Brakes (Swapping to record skeleton)
Fulcrum Racing 1 wheels
Deda Zero Bar 7 Stem
Chorus Carbon Compact Chainset
Jagwire Race Cables
Lizard Skin Tape
Specialized Toupe Saddle
Look Keo Pedals
Chain KMC

Bought the frame and chainset brand new. All the rest came off my old winter bike.

So this is my new winter bike and did 30 miles on it today for a first ride.

What surprised me the most was just how comfy it was, I never felt a bump.

Although it's not the lightest, it is very stiff & all of your effort is put on to the road.

I'm really, really pleased with my new bike and all I need to do now is ride it as much as possible......... I CAN'T WAIT!!
:D

Have I made a mess of my build?

Not one word of appreciation! :(

You might get a better response with a bigger picture dude

Spec looks ok, I'm not really a fan of mixing drivetrain components but am sure it's functional. Frame looks sweet, ride the wheels off it
  • that looks like a lush ride. You must be itching to get out again on it. Bigger pics welcome!
  • Also get a white saddle to match the bar tape

    The saddle is white!

It just has a red trim.

I'll try and make the pictures bigger on photobuckett

Just an update on the quality.

Ride quality is excellent. Cant believe how comfortable it is.

The SLX01 is incredibly stiff & on the flats it really does fly.

    Descending is very stable.

Not the lightest bike to climb with but the stiffness makes up for the weight.

Thinking of changing the wheels for some Boyd Vitesse from USA.

When I do I'll post some new (better) pics.

My best bike is a Madone 5.1 with Record & Shamal Ultras but the BMC is just as nice.

    In short...... I LOVE IT!

Totally agree with the stifness quote. My SLC01 is by far the stiffest thing I've ever ridden. Nice bike mate
