Looking to get myself a action cam for riding and stuff,
The obvious hero hd?
A ContourRoam?
Crocolis Hd?
Which would you chose/use or is there another I've missed?
Not got a massive budget but recon 1's a must.

Can't go wrong with a GoPro - it's used for all helmet cam stuff shot for TV.0 -

I'm planning on getting a drift now.0 -
If you've got the cash go with the go-pro, otherwise if you are looking for cheap stuff:
Y3000 or 808#11

Here is an example of my 808#11 £25 quid - takes 2-3 weeks to arrive

The advantage of these apart from the price is that they are extremely small and light, so you have plenty of mounting options. Also you are less bothered about busting a £25 camera.
If you are considering the 808#11 go for the jumbo version as it has longer battery life (100 mins rather than 40).

Kodak zx3 - waterproof to 3m, shock resistance - so it doesn't need a case lie the competitors. Has an LCD screen unlike the competitors. Shoots in 1080p and 720p60fps. Costs 80quid, unlike the competitors. It's not the easiest thing to mount being up right form, but that would be asking for too much really check my sig for videos of my zx5 in action.0

Vids in my sig.
Get Contour if you want helmet mount, Go-pro if you want chest mount.0 -
go pro are good if they work, i know they the popular one so thats why you hear and a lot of them breaking.. but from experience go pro let us down. contour both are still going strong and offer decent quality.
the drifts from what i have seen are decent..
but the vio pov hd takes the win... imo yeah it's pricy and the fact that it's a wired unit meaning you have to carry the recorder unit on you puts some people off but the quality of it is amzing..
go pro has the best mounting options,,www.bearbackbiking.com

All those videos on your blog actually filmed with said camera?0 -
The majority are, some of the early videos were shot on a phone and the latest posts aren't my films. Thisis the list of only films shot by the Kodak.0

Cheers for the input fellas, recon the gopro 2's the 1 for me, quality looks fantastic and love the wide angle, found it in the states shipped for £200,
1 thing tho, in the mean time anyone tried mounting their iPhone to a bike? Have a wide angle converter for it, not sure how it would cope with fast moving frames?0
