    Hi,

Carbon Frame with ultegra GS and easton forks...comes with Fulcrum 5 race wheels but I've upgraded them to the Fulcrum 1's
  • Just got a similar race, do the F1's make a huge difference?

Sorry for hijack! How are you getting on with the Fulcrum 1's? Just bought some for my GTC Agree Race, but they,re not making their debut until after winter. Did they make much of an improvement over the 5's?

OP. Nice bike. Is your saddle pointing upwards. Can't be good for the nuts.

Hi ya...only ridden them twice as they are race wheels and I'm riding my winter bike (which now has the 5's on it) at the moment. I found them slightly harder to spin up than the 5's BUT seems I had a dodgy tube that was letting air out so the pressure may have been low and I was in terrible shape so not really a fair test, but they do shave about 300g off the weight bringing the bike to 7.5kg~

I am racing on them this weekend so I'll come back and give you an update.

Update: Using them in a race they were very quick and responsive...when I put the power down the bike responded in an instant. Defo worth the update I think.

Had my first ride on the bike this morning. Did 50miles, though had alot of headwind to deal with so not as fast as I would have liked.

That aside, its a flying machine, very quick acceleration and good on the climbs. Though I might take a bit of getting used to it as my legs were getting sore and thighs tightened up alot during the last climb and had to stop, hasnt happened in a long time on when using my old bike which weighs alot more. Its probably due to the different riding position.

The Ultegra groupset is real smooth, very good brakes on it too. I was always wary when going over stones and stopped a few times to check the tyres and gave the bike a quick wipe down when I got home.

All in, cant wait to get fully in tune with it. Roll on next Sunday! (if the weather is good)

Note: Yes we still have the same stair carpet!

Really, now mine ain't that quick or that good on the hills. Hmm, that maybe something to do with me tipping 90kg on the scales at the moment.

On a serious note, I love my GTC Agree Race, Cube replaced my 2010 frame under warranty with the 2012 model, looking to get a pair of DA C35's for it sometime soon - also looking to lose 10kg's asap.

Thought it was time time to post a bit of an update, changed the bar tape (Lizardskin) and changed the wheels (Dura Ace C24's) had my first ride, albeit a short one thanks to the weather, and they seem excellent wheels, very quick.

Was a post ride photo while I was giving a clean after getting a bit wet.
