  • Hi Mike, Endomondo appears to be a decent one: downloaded it last week but not had chance to use it yet :)
    Go for the break
    Create a chaingang
    Make sure you don't break your chain
  • Hi Mike,

    I'm still investigating which one of 2 to use;

    runsat - http://www.navmi.com
    GPSCycleComputer - http://code.google.com/p/gccv2/downloads/list

    used runsat last year a few times and it seems good, keeps track of usual cycle computer functions. Only discovered GPSCycleComputer a few days ago so I'm evaluating them. GPSCycleComputer allows gpx import but I get an error when trying to import a track.

    Both of them use openstreetmaps(osm) so you are totally offline if you want, no data charges. I use the opencyclemap version of osm.

    Gosmore is another that you might wanna investigate - wiki.openstreetmap.org/Gosmore

    I'm struggling to find a tracker that displays the current speed, etc... but will also give me turn by turn voice instructions for any tracks that I've loaded. I've got an old version of TomTom navigator that gives me turn by turn instructions but it doesn't allow the loading of a previously defined track!!

    All I want is to define a route, load it and have some turn by turn instructions. The trackers I've seen will show you where you are on the route, but you have to keep looking at the screen to know when to turn and in bright sunshine in summer it's impossible to see.

    Gosmore is supposed to do this, but it limits maps to 400Mb big on windows phones and there's a hassle in compiling a map into the correct format. I might have to go this compilation route soon, unless anybody else knows of a tracker/turn by turn solution?

    Cheers
  • Thanks for the replies, I've signed up to Endomondo and it does look quite good, lacking elevation by the look of it. i will have a look at the other 2 too

    Cheers
