Allez Sport or Triban 5 or Airlite 300

My son is looking for his first roadbike. He is circa 5ft11 so would need about a 54" frame. His budget is circa £500.
Just above his budget at £550 there is an Allez Sport. On the positive side, it seems to weigh less (9.7kg) than his other possibilities, but has Sora components. The Triban 5 at Decathlon is £500, has the better Tiagra gear levers, but weighs more at 10.1kg.
With both the above, he can see the bike in the shop before purchase. The Raleigh Airlite 300 is £525 at Wiggle, has Tiagra components, but again is over 10kg.
Which is more important, components or weight? Any advice as to which would be the better bike for him, or any other alternatives?

I'm sure experts will be along soon with better advice but I'd say not to worry too much about the weight difference you describe.
If you can try them out I'd definitely do it to see which feel better especially trying out the shifting for smoothness and precision.
Lastly, I wouldn't underrate the value of liking the look of the machine -stats and specs are all good, but if you like the look of the bike you'll be happier on it imo.
The last thing I'd say is that it's possible he might want to look at 56cm frames as well, as I'd guess he's on the cusp.
If you can't get a fitting, then I found this useful for judging sizes:

I'm 5'10 and 54cm are generally to small. a 56cm would likely be the best fit, although its definitely worth getting sized up or at least just sitting on a couple of different sized bikes in your local bike shop first.0

Thanks all for the advice.
We were going to go for the Allez Sport, but they have sold out. Saw a Cannondale Caad 8 Tiagra at Edinburgh Cycles in Sheffield for £699. After a quick search online they have agreed to price match at £589, which seems to be the right bike at the right price.
I know my son will be pretty happy with it.0
