Happy New Year feckers!

I'm up and about to head out. Traditional family get together which I actually enjoy, no drinking though, as I'm driving there and back.
I had a crap nights sleep. It was so hot, and I knew I had to get up in 6 hours, 5 hours, 4 hours... :( also had a girl telling me how her boyfriend dumped her a few weeks ago and how much of an ass he is  ah well

So, what are your plans of the day?

And you didn't see this as a sign that she wanted to get over this in a way that involved your thumbing in of a softy and stoppping her ax wound from healing over for anything up to and including 5 minutes.

I think I may have to change my vote in the "most useless" section of the awards ;)

Well good morning anyway Scuttlers and welcome to MMXII. Today see's me dropping some unwanted furniture off to a freind who has just moved into her first flat, dropping tablets off to me old nan, shopping for washing up liquid and bread, and maybe if its stil cheap in Morrissons, Not Going Out series 4, Then off to work from half 3 until 1am.

Not the idyllic start I had planned to 2012, but hey, gotta be done

  • Morning homos!

That was the first night I've not stayed up for new year in as long as I can remember. Just wasn't feeling it last night at all, ended up in bed by half 10.

Just found out the fillament has gone in our oven too, so the NYD roast dinner is looking like a bit of a non starter.
Cheese/Beans on toast until I can get a new one on Tuesday.

Great start to the new year, result

    Mornin' Mongs,

Another year, same old forum full of retards :-D

No hangover for me but late-ish to bed so having some coffee based recovery. Will head out with family in tow to somewhere that's open and free like the Maritime Museum, then will get a bike ride in later to try and shift some of the Christmas lard.

 Don't get me wrong, I tried I started off with the old 'well its a new year, new start..... ;) ' this led to her then carrying on moaning about him, basically, she was having a drunken rant so I gave up.
Hopefully this is the year of the Hot Librarian though :D

    Happy new year bumders

Good laugh last night, didn't drink too much either so by midnight I was mostly sobered up and woke up this morning feeling brilliant. Good start to the year, it can only go downhill from here

Today has mostly been spent working so far, and the rest of it will be mostly working and eating. Only a week of being home left so going to get the work done while all the bikey places will be busy, then when the kids and old people have gone back to school and work properly I'll be back on the bike.

New year new start? Are you Alastair Campbell? You start with "Look, he's a prize prick, and if he doesn't appreciate your magnificent tattybojangles, i know someone who would be happy to spaff all over them.............me!!!!" Never fails, women love being wooed. And she was drunk, no court in the land would find you guilty

More great news. It seems I may have underestimated the seriousness of my upcoming operation. I was planning on going in on the tuesday, then being back at work by the following Monday at the latest.

It would appear this was a retarded thing to think. The doc has just said an absolute minimum of 4-6 weeks off work will be needed, even for me in an office job. The leg needs to remain elevated for this amount of time and cannot be allowed to bear any weight at all. I am also likely to be in quite a lot of pain for the first week or 2 so will be on some pretty awesome pills for that.

I have also found a post-op picture of someone who had the same surgeries as me (Complete ACL and LCL reconstruction). Looks messy. In addition, I'll have a 3" scar on each leg where they're taking the grafts (the guy in the pic had grafts from a cadaver).

I'm going to beg the surgery team to take some pics during surgery. Want to try and win some free shlt from MBUK for my troubles.

14hrs into 2012 and it's turning out to be pretty sucky so far.

    Happy New Year All

Well turned out none too exciting as we're busy with this new project which kicked off yesterday of all days!!

Apart from some slightly fancier food and non alcoholic wine you couldn't tell it was anything different from normal.

Sorry to hear about your leg op Cat going to go on so long. But if you will go sticking things in ditches backwards then.......
I'm going to blow the bank on a new build ( within reason ) NOW DONE!!
