Currently got endura hummvee shorts and singletrack trousers. They are not too bad at all in the rain, but heavy showers will obviously get them a bit damp.
So, without wanting to invest in actual waterproof gear which I dont particularly like the feel of(usually too sweaty), do any of you use any of the sprays, wash in stuff to help give some extra waterproofness?
Thanks.

Nikwax TX Direct wash-in waterproofer. Used it a lot, recommended for anything waterproof/breathable. I use it to re-proof my jackets, bibs, tights, gloves etc. Works great. Use the Tech Wash first, all done in the washing machine on a low temp wash.

I've used nikwax on my sailing waterproofs and it does a really good job. And as said above you just do it in the washing machine so its dead easyBikes are OK, I guess... :-)

Delcol - I aint got the legs for 3/4's
Got some nikwax from go outdoors. Got the wash in tech stuff and the direct spray, shall give the trousers a wash/squirt with it next time I wash them.
In the meantime, gave my 5 10's a good spraying of the direct, see if that helps keep them a bit cleaner.
Also got some of the planet x neoprene overshoes on offer from on one http://www.on-one.co.uk/i/q/CLPXOSH/planet_x_neoprene_overshoes
Can confirm that they fit over freeriders (size 10 shoes, XL overshoes) and seem to leave plenty of free space on the soles for gripping the pedals. Shall try them properly at the weekend and report back.
Thanks for all the input.0
