Happy new year to everyone!
Thinking about buying a new bike and did a bit of research based on LBS around and within my budget limits (1.500 to 1.800) .
I came with the following possible choice:
* Boardman Team Carbon
* Cube Agree Pro or GTC
* Scott CR1 Team
* Trek Madone 4.5
I don't race but enjoy longish rides and sportives.
My currant bike is an old 2005 GiantTCR T.mobile replica old105 groupset.
So, what advices and very helpful constructive comments would you, knowledgeable, wise and experienced cyclists, provide me with?
Many thanks!
Dan

I would recommend the Trek Madone 3.5, I've just bought one and I'm really happy with it. It won a recent test in Cycling+ mag and reviewed at 5 stars.

I had the same budget as you and went for a Van NIcholas Euros. Titanium is a great material for bike frames, very light, doesn't corrode and can be engineered to be comfortable but still responsive (and IMHO they look amazing!). Van Nich (and most other Ti manufacturers) also offer a lifetime warranty on their frames. For your money you'd get a Ti frame with 105 groupset and probably Shimano RS20 or maybe Fulcrum 5 wheels. Definitely worth checking out. (I can recommend 'Fatbirds Don't Fly' in Norfolk, they really know their Ti stuff.)
From your list though, I'd definitely go for the Cube. Lovely bikes, well made and great spec. I test rode the Agree GTC earlier this year and for me it pushed the Van Nicholas very close!
