Hey all, Is there any restrictions/advise to mountain biking Snowdon? And would it be possible to do in January? or are the conditions to difficult? Any other recommendations if this isn't feasible?

    Only restriction is the voluntary ban.
    Personally, don't think i'd be wanting to do it in January. The weather is changeable enough up there as it is..
    I do want / am going to do it again, but will wait till about march / april probably.
    Saying that, if the forecast is relaible enough and the days looking good. Just go equipped for any changes in the weather.

    think the ban only works up until Sept, so you'll be fine in Jan

    The Voluntary ban runs from May 1st-Sept 30th between the hours of 10:00am and 17:00pm.So in the summer you could actually start at 17:00 and ride down in daylight up to 10pm(ish) 8) Or start in daylight at 03:30am and be back down before the 10:00am (voluntary) ban.
    The rest of the year you take your chances with the (very un-predictable)weather 8)
