Hi all,
I am planning on returning to mountain biking (low level, local trail, canal paths, commuting) after my GP told me I was getting lazy in my old age (I'm 39, cheeky **** ) ...
My last bike was a white and lilac Muddy Fox Courier that I loved, cherished and upgraded until it got nicked in the mid 1990's (then I just drove everywhere instead).
I have trundled round to my local bike shop and read the forums on here and the very nice man has some 2011 models he said he will do for about £300 for me...
You know what is about to follow as I am clueless now, please help as he said they are all decent bikes and it is personal preference. They are all comfortable, look good and seem to have the basics for me to upgrade if I really take to it again.
The bikes are:
- Saracen Tufftrax for £270
- Felt q220 for £300
- GT Aggressor for £240
- Trek 3500D for £295
- Fuji Nevada 4.0 for £270
- Cube Aim for £320
Thanks all in advance, and hello to the multiple broken bones that are coming.
Cheers again,
Scott

Do you have web links to the said bikes?0

Or find an old Muddy Fox - great bikes, just a tragedy the current ones are rubbish.I don't do smileys.

I'd love to find an old courier but they seem pretty rare beasts now...
I'll try and source some links of said bikes as my local bike shop is proper old school and doesn't have an online presence... (even has a mechanical entrance bell on the door)

The Cube is the best bike there - the most expensive, but the fork actually works, and good 8 speed drivetrain.0

For the same reason i'd say Cube, followed by Trek and Felt. The Trek and Felt have better disk brakes fitted but are older seven speed systems (8 speed systems are upgradeable to 9 or 10 speed, most 7 speed systems aren't... easily). Might also want to look at something like the Dawes XC1.4 Disc, which is both 8 speed, click shifters and disk brake equipped (also at Winstanleysbikes).0

Cheers guys, thank you for your help...
Off to buy the Cube tomorrow then A&E on Saturday0
