Celtic Series 2012 - Accept the Challenge

2012 Celtic Series announced – 4 Countries, 4 Cycling Challenges

Plans for a new international cycling sportive series in 2012 were recently revealed with the announcement of the 2012 Celtic Series. The Celtic Series is four cycling events taking place across four celtic nations during 2012. Aim for one or all of the events as your or your clubs 2012 cycling challenge in a new setting.

Starting in mid April the Series rolls out in Brittany France with the Tro Bro Leon over a course known as mini Roubaix. Wales is the next stop on May 12th with the Tour of Pembrokeshire offering a real cycling challenge across the valleys, mountains and coast of Wales. The Celtic Series Tour de Conamara takes place on May 27th and will introduce cyclists to some of the most spectacular coastal and mountain cycling routes in the West of Ireland with 140km and 80km route options. The fourth leg of the series brings us to Ayr Scotland in July to take on the Graham Obree Ayrshire Sportive over some of the best cycling routes Scotland has on offer.

Five time Tour de France winner Bernard Hinault will cycle in the Irish leg of the series in May. Full details are available on http://www.celticseries2012.com

The Celtic Series Warrior package will provide participants with access to all four events and a limited edition jersey, bib shorts and rain / wind jacket. Participants who register for the Celtic Series Tour de Conamara event before April 2nd will also receive a Velotec Celtic Series rain / wind jacket.
