basically looking for a cheap commuter bike for work,is the rockrider 5.0 worth a punt or is it better to go down the hybrid route,ie carrera subway? my current work hack ,old claud butler rock is about worn out,gears etc and don t think worth spending on replacing parts.my weekend trail bike is a cape wrath and still in decent condition otherwise would probably use that for work and save for a decent mtb further down the line.

    I would look for a road bike try eBay there might be some bargains

    I'd go for a used road bike and put flat bars on, I did it and they made it loads easier to manouver in traffic

    well i have some spare flat bars :D .i know last time i was in decathlon they had a flat bar sports bike for £199 but not sure if they still have stock.any other options?
