Anyone have one of these http://www.ergon-bike.com/gb/en/product/gp1 / http://www.ergon-bike.com/gb/en/product/gp1-biokork?

They look good, plus I like how the palm of the hand would rest on the end of the grip.

Just wondering how durable the cork one is (GP1 Bio)?

I think hands wrapping around the grip makes more sense than resting on top.

No idea on the durability of the biokork but I run GP2s on my commuter, they are like GP1 but have a small bar end which I like.

They are dead comfy, your hand does still wrap around the grip but with gel type support for the rear of your hand.

I'm going to upgrade my stem and bars and am really in two minds about what to do grip wise, get ODI grips that match the colour scheme, get ODIs that don't or get ergons that don't match and will look slightly gash but be super comfy.

    Hi, thanks for the reply.

I was down at my local 'Evans Cycles' store today and saw the GP1, but then I saw these 'Specialized BG Ergo Lock Grip' : http://www.evanscycles.com/products/specialized/bg-ergo-lock-grip-ec021313?query=locking%20grips, and brought them instead, feel just as good on the hand and cheaper. I got the Grey/Black pair.

For Mountain Bikes we recommend the GS family (GS1 / GS2 / GS3) which have either no bar end, a shortish bar end, and a full length bar end respectively.

They look far from gash, are made from propriety rubber which doesn't degrade in UV (just about all other grips do) and are pretty lightweight (138g approx).
