Specialized bg shoes

Thinking of spending Xmas cash on some proper road shoes rather than MTB spds. Got my eye on some bg comp or maybe s-works from a local specialized expert shop. Should I expect a proper fitting of the shoes and get them to try shims etc or would I not expect that unless I get a bike fit done too.
They have a 30% discount sale this week. Other alternative is to look at lake shoes at my club shop but no sale just discount on rrp of 10 % meaning a more expensive package by quite a margin.
Feel obliged to club shop but don't want to pay £70 on look keo when the web can find them for 40. Also only limited to lake shoes at higher price than the discounted s-works.

Speak to the spesh shop, the shoes are great but you NEED to ensure you have the right shims (or know whether to use none) or they will feck your knees up royal!Insta: ATEnduranceCoaching
