right im looking at some new wheels for my bike and im thinking of some planet x model c they use 32 spokes so wiil be alot more reliable than a set aimed purely at racing, but in the description it says that the front is 100mm and the rear is 130 is this standard spacing i thought they where all the same any ways its probably a stupid thing to ask and im probably being daft

but again all help is appreciated

100/130 front/rear is normal for a reasonably modern road bike

my bike - faster than god's and twice as shiny
  • 100mm / 130mm is the length of the front and rear axle on a modern road bike (I believe 7 speed was 126 rear as the cassette was narrower).

100mm / 135mm for a mountain bike, presumably to add room for a disk brake.
