So Phil has had a stent! As an emergency!
That means technically he has had a heart attack. At whar point are the press going to release this simple fact?

Possibly because this is not a simple fact. I went to hospital with chest pains, and subsequently had a stent for a blocked artery, but had not had any sign of a heart attack at all.Open One+ BMC TE29 Seven 622SL On One Scandal Cervelo RS0 -
Yep. i had a stent fitted as well in january this year. Same chest pains......No heart attack. Week or so before i rode 60 hard miles around the isle of Arran. Don't make fun of old Philip OR his condition. It could be YOU next!!!!!!0

I'm sad to say Fastlad that I have had a heart attack!
And the irony is that I am a cardiac nurse and knew exactly what was happening to me.
And therefore knew what the gold standard treatment should have been (Stenting).
I was thrombolysed (clot busted for the laymen on here) and my consultant refused to move me to another hospital where stenting was done.
I have had one angina attack since then and was angiogrammed which shows a 70% occlusion of one artery but due to the position of the lesion a stent was not inserted. The doctor who did my angiogram said that at the time of my heart attack he would have put stents in.
