Hey all, thought I would post a few upgrades I've made to my full bouncer. First of all I fancied some new shifters, so I've upgraded to the XT M780 10 speed flava.
I then had a birthday, so I decided to treat myself to some new wheels. So after a click of a button, a box arrived on the doorstep.
Mavic XM 719 rims with Superstar Switch Evo Hubs. I wanted to get some Flows, but Superstar only had white rims left in their Stans deal.I also got the 9mm & 10mm Quick Release Thru Axles for a bit of extra stiffness.
For a bit more colour, I also got some red anodised rotor bolts from Superstar.

If those bolts are red then the white balance is miles out on your camera. :shock:0

I have a 2011 Ghost AMR 5900 and I love it. Such a good bike - much better than I am! It is still completely stock, apart from a different rear tyre after the first needed replacing (I can't remember why now). I haven't used it as much as I would like recently but am getting back into it.
I need to make a few changes to the set up - far too much air in the fork caused little in the way of small bounce sensitivity and it was like riding with a rigid for most the day last weekend. I'll look to adjust the shock as well accordingly. I might look to get some better wheels and tyres and I am thinking about going tubeless as well. Then probably some new pedals - SPDs I think. I'll give it a good clean up and de-gunge as well ready for some cold weather riding. Probably some new brake pads to finish it off.
I like the idea of stripping the paint and going for a stealth look - something like a matt black and then put new Ghost decals on that. I think it would look pretty smart. The only downside is I have the white Fox forks - would definitely look much better in black. If I do down the colour change route, I might see if I can swap forks with someone, and potentially get Kashima coating as well - not because of anything other than the colour change.
I don't have any pics at the moment but I will try and find one or two.0 -
You must have funny shaped arms as those bars look uncomfortably rolled forward giving a strange backsweep to upsweep mix, still as long as it suites you!
Nice looking bike though!Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0
