Lordy - thought I'd go for a gentle ride around the Black Isle before Xmas. Hadn't counted on the wind though - 25mph gusting to 35mph. Suffice it to say that I only averaged 16.4mph and yet scored 196 ("extreme") on the Strava Suffer Score rating based upon my average HR for the 33 mile ride. Cromarty to Culbokie is uphill and dead into the wind on a really exposed, straight road. There were times when I was pleasantly surprised to see 13mph on the speedo. 5c and rain to boot. Shame on you turbo queens!
