Packed up racing so now on the look out for an all rounder for weekend rides, just riding to keep fit from now on.
Like the idea of a cyclo cross bike, something i can chuck mudguards on in the winter and hit the woods etc. if i sell my pinarello and my t.t bike i should raise around £1800 and would spend approx £1200 to £1300 max.
Any recommendations?

Planet-X dirty disco? Depends on whether your priority is road use therefore the lighter weight of rim brakes is worth having or whether offroad, where brake performance and lack of rim wear is worth having over a weight penalty.Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0

Little bit of both, looking at the dirty disco-seems a good deal, not seen any reviews yet0

My mate has just built a Dirty Disco and he took it out for it's first long-ish ride last weekend - 4 hours offroad. I was riding my singlespeed CX with 38mm tyres and usually drop everyone on the climbs but he was hanging in there and was impressed by how well it rode - it was light but not uncompromisingly stiff. Only downside was rear wheel clearances aren't massive (38mm max) if you fancy trying some Monstercross 29er tyres. Other problem with disc-bikes is fitting mudguards - usually requires some degree of ingenuity or a dirty bum.Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0

Don't mind dirty bum, shows you've been out and had some fun in the mud.
Top of my list for now.0
