Spring/summer bike 2012: cube agree gtc or trek madrone 4.5

Hi-I have narrowed down my choices between these two bikes for the forthcoming spring/summer season but can't seem to decide which! Does anyone have a view to help? The cube agree gtc is about £400 cheaper but appears at least to be the equal of the trek, if not better-is there anything I need to be on the lookout for that explains the difference? I currently ride a trek alpha 2.1 which is great but I am looking for an upgrade. Many thanks to those who are able to help and of course, happy Christmas and new year!

Don't know either of those bikes? Are they both made out of black plastic? If so, reconsider and get a real bike made from Titanium!

I recently bought a Cube Agree GTC Race 2011 model. Not ridden it much yet as saving it for the better weather. Lovely bike and seems to be good value compared to others in same price range as it is full Ultegra components and carbon frame, and I bought it in the sale for just under £1,500. I'm looking forward to the spring.

is that the black plastic that everyone in the tours uses ? ive got a trek 4.5 and its been great . 2009 version thou which is a bit better spec . go for last years model and get a big discount .

But the advice is always the same when choosing a bike. Go to your local bike shop and arrange a test ride. Take both bikes out for a couple of hours and see which feels best. If you still can't decide, buy the one that puts the biggest smile on your face.
