Just had some great news...my therory that good news comes in three's !

First Gazlar's missus, then welshkev after 2nd interview this morning just had conformation I start the new job on 9th Jan ! a great christmas present !

Tonight it will lots of chinesse and booze !

Lead stategic sourcing buyer for a major UK coach builder....bit different to Airbus but sounds like a great job with lots of potential.

Me, I'm just an accountant - speciality subject overseas tax planning for companies (except at parties when chatting up the birds, then I'm a fighter pilot or something like that). I paid the mortgage off a while back, been saving up the pennies and thought feck it, don't fancy working till I'm too old to have a bit of fun :-)

I look at where a purchasing function can take out cost...so negotiating best price, eliminating waste from supply chains, supplier relationship management and sourcing strategy...

Basicaly its like being a sgt major and get to shout at lost of people and punish the naughty ones !

Yep difficult times....are you on Linkedin....if not try it a great networking tool....also post your CV on Jobsite and Totaljobs it worked for me...

pudsey. i have'nt put my cv up on any sites.. i mainly been using jobcentre website and applying for jobs that suit..
not much going for a talentless numpty with no qualifications..

How old are you, where dya live and what are you looking to do? I always advocate looking at jobs on the railway and theres jobs for all sorts of people, even the guys that clean the carriages at the depot are on nearly 23k a year, and most of these jobs aren't advertised anywhere but the train companies website. If you let me know where youre based I can send you some links later or tomorrow
