Well, after a massive fail in my ride today (basically my legs felt like lead all the way around) i needed to neck one of my my emergency gels i always carry with me. (and i really struggle to eat solids whilst cycling away)

So what did i have?

Torq Rhubarb and Custard flavour Gel.

BEST FLAVOUR EVER and goes down well too.

So what's your favourite?

    thanks for that nugget.

I actually really like all the Torq ones

The new CNP cola ones are good, far better than the original cola ones they did.

There's a couple of twins in my local that "go down well" (so I've heard) but I don't think they're called rhubarb and custard.

You live and learn. At any rate, you live
  • I eat something that tastes like a banana on rides. Easy to open, not solid (they aren't that's the end of it) and surely much better than a mouthful of rhubarb and custard goo.
  • High 5 Raspberry Caffeine + - tastes like jam doughnut filling! Work too!

I havent yet had one which is too bad, but then I have never had one with caffeine in.

    Zipvit blackcurrant is pretty good
    Zipvit Orange is alright
Decathlon Raspberry flavour was great (the best I have had) but I dont know if they do it anymore
    Go Gels are OK

My biggest complaint is the mess that they make - I end up sticky and out on the road its not ideal. So I have switched to Clif Shot Bloks Mountain Berry. A few Gels left but dont use them - maybe would if bonking and in need of more power to get home...!
