Elite Crono Fluid Turbo

Hi Guys,

Can anybody shed some light on these turbo trainers?

I am looking at one of these, currently £140 on Wiggle, or a Tacx Satori, or a Cycleops Fluid if I can stretch my budget a little further.

The Crono fluid seems to get some great reviews on Wiggle?

    I have got an Elite Crono fluid and think it’s very good, I got the one with manual resistance but apart from that they are the same. Have used it quite a bit and it’s still going strong.
    The level of resistance is good and it’s reasonably quiet and I like the way the bike is attached (flexible arms which is gives a bit of road feel).
    I cannot compare it to the two others you are considering but I have tried a couple of other turbos at my club and the Elite is much better compared to those.

    Got a Tacx Satori and we had a Cyclops Fluid 2 for about a year
    Prefer the Tacx. Had it 2 years and used/abused by 3 of us. Would buy another

    Not had great experience with Elite trainers. Had to send two back due to faults. Now have a Tacx Booster and am very happy with it.

    Rubbish IME. I'd recommend a Cycleops Fluid 2. Cost a bit more, but worth 3 or 4 times the Elite trainer.

    Beware of positive turbo reviews from people that have only ever used one BTW.
    More problems but still living....

    I have the supercrono fluid 2012 model from planet x @ £169 last week. It is very good imo. I had the Taxc Sirius last year and Cyclops classic mag the year before. The elite is far better than them. Love thevflex of the trainer it forces you to have a smooth pedal stroke. But once you get the knack ofvit you can do sprints etc no problem. Highly recommend it if like me you can't afford anything better.
