I am looking into getting some new brakes but am not sure which ones to go for.I am currently using Formula The Ones but fancy a change. The brakes I am looking at are the new Shimano XTR Trail brakes or even the XT ones if they are just as powerfull,The SRAM XO brakes and the new Formula RO brakes. The brakes are going on a Nomad. How do you guys think these brakes will compare to my Ones, they are the earlier brakes the Greg Minnar limited edition ones incase it helps knowing which model I have. Cheers

I would not bother changing. but if you must then the new formulas."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

what do you want to improve by changing them? i believe they are some of the lighter brakes around yes?
so if its more power your after why not something like the Shimano Saint. but they are much heavier than your current setup.
maybe some avid codes or X0, probably not as powerful as Saint but lighter, or as nicklouse suggested the new Formula's.2011 KHS Full Susser Carbon 29er Race BuildClank wrote:M'eh, I might just go back to zapping it with frikken lay-zur beeeems. And sharks.0 -

I would take the XTR trail over any of the above, light, great looking, and mega powerful without any fade...quite simply IMO the best trail brake available.0 -

X0 top level Elixers. dont rate them over the Juicys which I rate lower than the Formula Oros.
saint. Not a fan of anz mineral fluid based brake as I boil them. Fine on the Pub bike though.
Back to the OP why? and what are you looking for?"Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."
