I've done some stupid and dangerous things but being terrified of heights, that photo had me crapping in my pants. Somehow I always think that I'd start looking at the drop and it would somehow draw me in and suck me over the edge, like the way you sometimes can't stop looking at a cars headlights and start steering towards them.
Now I'm going to complain - I'm stuck offshore at the minute and the IT w*nkers have blocked access to youtube so I can't watch the vids. Even though I know they'll terrify me, I feel the need to watch them and this torment is driving me insane. So no more please at least until I'm back home.......
It's mad ain't it, ride singletrack no problem and never veer off course but when you see the drop its a different ball game when really you're probably never going to go off the edge.

so true..
it's like riding north shore(woodwork) you can ride for miles on the kerb or the white line. but get on a skiney 2ft off the ground nad it becomes inpossable.

Sadly the guy filming this video died. Fell down a bottomless cravasse near the Himalayas.
I had no idea.
I first saw that film when it was on brightcove. tv. I was totally entranced by it, watching it over and over. I must have watched it 100 times or more. I walked the path about 6 months after seeing the film and have been back several times since. It is like you're in another dimension when you're up there. I exchanged messages with that guy (Daniel)
At least he died doing what he loved... Risky stuff!

He accomplished more in the big balls dept in that one vid than I ever will in my life. A great accomplishment. RIP.
