Er you linked twice to the same bike.
But I'd go for one with real wheels.

^ as above....why a 29er....I just can't see the point ? have you ridden one and compared to 26er ?....it's a yank thing they have to be bigger.

Neither of them look great value for money but if I had to pick one out of them 2 then it would be the Scott purely on looks.

If it were me, and I had £850 I'd probably go for a Boardman.

Have you ridden one for any length of time? For some disciplins it just makes sense. Mine is 10%+ quicker than a equiveliant 26" over the same distance/terrain

It's always nice to see some informed opinions when people ask for genuine advice.

The Cannondale gets very good reviews in MTB Action (granted it's the slightly better one) but the frame is a good 'un

I like my 29'er, it certainly covers the ground easily and makes some trail features easier, especially drop offs, considering it's only 100mm travel it's a cracking bike.

If you want one go for it, pick the one you like best and see where you go.

It's almost a certainty that as soon as Boardman start selling 29'ers all the haters will buy them as they'll be the "best bike for the money" again.
