Er you linked twice to the same bike.
But I'd go for one with real wheels.I don't do smileys.

£200 cheaper and very slightly better spec than the scott0 -
Neither of them look great value for money but if I had to pick one out of them 2 then it would be the Scott purely on looks.
If it were me, and I had £850 I'd probably go for a Boardman.2019 Ribble CGR SL
2015 Specialized Roubaix Sport sl4
2014 Specialized Allez Sport0 -

It's always nice to see some informed opinions when people ask for genuine advice.
The Cannondale gets very good reviews in MTB Action (granted it's the slightly better one) but the frame is a good 'un
I like my 29'er, it certainly covers the ground easily and makes some trail features easier, especially drop offs, considering it's only 100mm travel it's a cracking bike.
If you want one go for it, pick the one you like best and see where you go.
It's almost a certainty that as soon as Boardman start selling 29'ers all the haters will buy them as they'll be the "best bike for the money" again.0
