Anyone know whether and when the Etape du Dales will happen in 2012?
There's nothing on the EDD website yet, which is odd, because registration usually takes place just after New Year, as far as I can remember.

Hi,
I'm not too sure about the Etape du Dales this year, but Ilkley Cycling are resurrecting the White Rose Classic. The event is a true classic in every sense of the word and it set to be one of the season's premier sportives.
The event is on 17 June and will start in Ilkley. Entires will open in the new year.

Not really since, if there is some doubt as to whether the EDD will run, the post serves to offer an alternative in the same geographical locale over similar terrain in close proximity to the planned date for the EDD.
So all round a reasonable statement I would say.
If you were in the pub and hankering after your no doubt usual pint of lager top with blackcurrant, upon finding that this was unavailable and someone were to offer you a pint of girl's shandy instead I'm sure you wouldn't dismiss that as irrelevant.0 -
20th May, the website has the date up now.
I guess entries will start from the 9th January or so.
Hope the weather is better than last year (and I was just manning a feed station).0 -
