Don't have this camera as yet but thinking of buying one. I have seen a bar mount for the older ZX3 is available but what is there in the way of a mount for the ZX5 and is it any good? Thanks

Okay! Presume helmet mount is way to go? Can't find one for it though.
Looks like the Go Pro hero has some decent mounts...0 -
yeah helmet is the way to go or mount else were on bike.
just have a quick look on youtube at barmounted camera in my opinion it does not work. to much lateral movment
go pro do have the better mounting options but their cameras are crap i know loads of people who had trouble with them they break just stop working...
contour are pretty good and have a few mounting options, (not as many or as good as go pro) but at least they work.
the drift innovations one the new hd is a pretty decent bit of kit. (dont what mounting options there are)
i use a vio pov 1.5 and a pov hd amazing camera but it is a wired device so you have to carry the recorder in your pack or tie it to the frame.. the quality on the hd is amazing. the mounting options are ednless if you have the mount kit.. cause it's a small bullet camera it can go pretty much anywere on your bike (within reason.)www.bearbackbiking.com

Thanks for the suggestions.
By the way, I am wondering whether your experience with a bar mounted camera is from using a suspension fork, or forks locked out or both?
Just I want to use the camera mainly for commuting on a road bike with rigid fork.0 -
ah you never said that in the thread all my experience is off road on trails so as you can imagine plenty of buping around...
it wouldnt be that bad on the road but you will still get the lateral movement. as you pedal and sway side to side, also with bars moving...
i guess it would be trial and error...www.bearbackbiking.com
