Hello,

I have bought a new rear wheel with a new cassatte fitted, would it be best to fit a new chain at the same time ?

thanks

maybe. why not fit your old cassette.

  • have not got the tool to get it off and i just picked this bike up cheap and the rear coggs were a liitle rusty.
  • In that case a new chain would be cheaper than a whip and cass tool, plus a new block likes a new chain just make sure you get a quick link chain, save getting a tool for that too.

Make sure you get the correct chain speed for your setup.
