My google-fu is wonky today.

Can anyone identify a flag what is green with a yellow sun like shape in the middle and a red five pointed start in the middle of that?

Our office just got invaded by a mass protest, a whole 7 people breached security and set themselves up on one of the atrium balconies whilst delivering a message that no-one could hear.

They also had a flag that I think was yellow and blue and had a picture of a chap on it sporting a rather fetching bushy moustache.

Must admit they were here for about 20 minutes before I took my earphones out and noticed them (Lalo Schifrin's version of the Jaws theme on repeat is excellent when you want to not be distracted).

    First one sounds like a varient on an old iraqi flag 11949890291672718518iraqi_flag_po_.svg.hi.png

    No idea what the bottom one is. Only blue and Yellows I know of are Eastern European/Eurasian, like Kazakstan, Ukraine, etc.

    That's what google came up with for me. But this was solid green background and the star was in the sun, not the other way round.

    I remember a 'joke' doing the rounds after the first Gulf War, when Saddam got very angry with the Kurds and attacked them, forcing them to take shelter in the mountains.

    A:Lemon Kurds.

    Not funny then, not funny now, but it popped into my mind.
    I wonder who thinks these things up?

    I also wonder how/why I remember these things.
