CONI have requested a four year ban for Procycling columnist Gianni Savio for allegedly supplying banned substances to his riders;

He, naturally, denies it.

Is anyone surprised given the company he keeps?

    I would hope they are switched on enough to appreciate that giving him a column carried a level of risk that this thing might happen. How many returning dopers has he taken on and how many of them have shown no drop off in performance level when returning, and in some cases, been better than before their ban?

    Yeah.

    Shame though. His riders being up near the front was more exciting than hanging around the bank.

    He comes across as a guy who knows how to read a race and manage well.

    ......they usually resist at first but with enough nagging they'll eventually let you put a small prick in their bottom.
